Otmar Schneider

Head of Asset Development Refining & Petrochemicals, OMV

Otmar Schneider, born 1972 (46 years) in Germany, attended the Technical University of Munich (TUM) from which he graduated in 1998. Following his university education, he stayed at TUM until 2004 as a scientific assistant at the Institute of Fluid Process Engineering. During this time he pursued a PhD, which was awarded to him in 2004. That year he joined OMV Deutschland GmbH, which marked the beginning of a long career at OMV lasting to this day. After seven years in the fuels department – first as process engineer and later on as its department manager – Otmar Schneider took over as department manager for tankfarms and utilities in 2011. That same year, Otmar Schneider left OMV Deutschland GmbH to take the job as department manager for business & strategic development at OMV Refining & Marketing GmbH in Vienna. Since 2014, Otmar Schneider is responsible for the technical development and since 2016 also for the asset development in OMV’s Refining & Petrochemicals business. Mr. Schneider is married and has three children.
