Michaela Mischek-Lainer

Austrian entrepreneur

Michaela Mischek-Lainer is an Austrian entrepreneur who has been working in the residential and urban development business areas in Vienna for 30 years. Her special focus was always on integrative and innovative ecological and social approaches. For example, she has developed the first Austrian Car Free Model Estate as well as the first large volume passive house in Vienna. Her projects have won several awards, including the prestigious Austrian Builders Award. Resource conservation, energy planning, prefabrication and refurbishment of real estate are her special concerns. Currently she is, inter alia, managing director of the project development company for the modernization and new development of the Franz Josef railway station.
