Director General at the Global Technology Research Unit of the Technology Strategy Center, the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)
Mr Kentaro Morita is the Director General at the Global Technology Research Unit of the Technology Strategy Center, the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). NEDO plays an important part in Japan's economic and industrial policies, as one of the largest public research and development management organizations. Mr Morita began his career in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (which is currently named as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; METI), Japan, in 2009. Since then, he was in charge of wide variety of policies in the field of energy, such as petroleum refining and reserve, international relations, nuclear and industrial safety, and the G7 Kitakyushu Energy Ministerial. He not only contributed to energy policy planning shown above, but also served as the Executive Assistant to the State Minister in METI in 2004. Just before Joining NEDO, he was the Director for International Electro-technology Standardization in METI, and served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee in the International Lead and Zinc Study Group.
