Bernd Vogl

Chief Energy Planner of the City of Vienna

Bernd Vogl, graduated from HTL (mechanical engineering) and from Vienna University for business economics. From December 1992 till August 2011 Bernd Vogl was an energy expert in the Austrian Ministry of Environment. From April 2006 till August 2011 he was co-leading the Department of Environmental Economics and Energy in the Ministry. He was involved in numerous national projects and programs dealing with energy efficient technologies and renewable energy sources. From 2004 till 2011 he was leading the Austrian climate protection initiative “klima:aktiv”. Since September 2011 Bernd Vogl is leading the Municipal Department 20 - Energy Planning of the City of Vienna. The main task of the Department is the management and coordination of the Viennese energy efficiency and renewable energy programmes.
