EUREC-AIT workshop 22 Nov “Sector-coupling for local systems as enabler for the energy transition”
EUREC and AIT invite all SET Plan conference delegates to attend their all-day workshop “Sector-coupling for local systems as enabler for the energy transition”, taking place at AIT’s premises on 22 Nov, the day after the SET Plan conference closes.
Sector-coupling, i.e. the transformation between forms of final energy (energy for power, for heating or cooling, for mobility) is beginning to emerge as an increasingly common phenomenon in the energy system. The prevalence of low-cost (and at times low-value) PV and wind electricity is driving entrepreneurs to think of new services that electricity and other final energy forms can provide.
The workshop looks at concrete projects and studies in sector-coupling. Speakers from EUREC’s membership including AIT will take the floor, with representatives of public bodies (Austria’s BMVIT and the European Commission) setting the scene.
The event is open to all, but registration before noon 21 Nov is required (by email to firstname.lastname@example.org). The programme is downloadable here.
